We are a non partisan group of concerned citizens who are working to control taxes and spending in St. Lucie County. It is time to say, we've had enough.
St. Lucie Report
Welcome to our way of thinking, Marcia Baker. We could have used your help when the city purchased the jetty property. The current purchase of two lots on A 1 A are probably a better buy than the $5.9 million we paid for the Jetty property. The jetty property was bought behind a curtain of the Trust for Public Lands and we don't know who profited from that purchase. Maybe your South Beach Association could find out. The link below is Marcia Baker's Letter to the Editor.

What do the City of Fort Pierce and Vallejo, CA have in common? Both have excessive salary and retirement benefits that will continue to cause excessive tax increases in the years to come. Stop the excess now. See link below.

The recently completed Comprehensive Annual Financial Report of the City of Fort Pierce (audit) shows the City is at 93% capacity of its debt limit and is, indeed, in debt at just under $100,000,000. With property values going down, their debt capacity has been decreased. Fort Pierce taxpayers can expect a millage rate increase, for sure.
